Louis R. Engel Founder – Director

FUNINCO N.V. started in 1995 as a small burial insurance company called DTP, which stands for Death Travel Plan. I started this business so foreigners on the island who faced demise and a lack of funds to cover funeral-related expenses would now have a viable option. Hence, the name DTP.

Our commitment to our clients has been unwavering. In June 2001, we rebranded as FUNINCO N.V., a testament to our dedication to providing funeral insurance. The abbreviation FunInCo stands for Funeral Insurance Company. Our company and its product have consistently proven efficient, reliable, and greatly beneficial to our clientele, reinforcing our commitment.

Over the years, the company introduced various funeral plans, such as an overseas shipping plan, a cremation plan, a senior insurance plan, a senior payment plan, and the company employees’ group plan. The obvious choices of most of our clients are the “Local Internment Insurance Plan” and the “Senior Payment Plan.” The benefits of these plans are that they can be used for the various services offered by funeral homes.

The funeral insurance business is highly ethical because it provides a necessary and beneficial service within the community. I am delighted when I can provide guaranteed service for the deceased and peace of mind to the bereaved loved ones in a situation where sudden death occurs.

With coverage from FUNINCO N.V., all worries related to demise and burial expenses for a basic funeral service are resolved. Our slogan is Your Friend in Times of Need – Providing Peace of Mind since 1995.

FUNINCO N.V. is supervised by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.

I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to every one of our loyal clients. Your wise investment in our invaluable funeral plans has been a cornerstone of our success. Your support and patronage over the years have been deeply appreciated, and we look forward to continuing to serve you. And to our prospective clients, I say welcome to a viable insurance plan.
